On January 14, 2026, the click of tiles and the hum of happy conversation filled open play at Artisan Beer & Cheese in Rolesville, and it was exactly the kind of night I dream about when I plan an event.
From the moment guests arrived, the space felt warm and welcoming. Artisan Beer & Cheese set the scene beautifully, with a gorgeous charcuterie board. There is something undeniably perfect about pairing mahjong with creamy cheeses, cured meats, and a glass of wine. It turned a mahj night into a full sensory experience!
Players of all levels gathered around the tables, from seasoned mahjong lovers to those still finding their rhythm. The vibe was relaxed, social, and full of laughter. Tiles we shuffled, hands were built, and friendly competition mixed easily with encouragement and table talk. It was the kind of evening where you look up and realize time has flown by.
One of the highlights of the night was the prize drawing. A little extra sparkle always adds excitement, and the prize giveaways brought big smiles and plenty of playful cheering.
Of course, none of it would be complete without the memories we captured.
