I sat in on a mahjong session at Raleigh Country Club last week and it came with an unexpected highlight… the best bar mix I ever had! Between laughter, great hands, and a few wild Charleston passes, our table kept reaching for that addictive, crunchy blend. It was the perfect fuel for a long night of tiles and chat!
Inspired by that delicious surprise, I created my own Best Ever Bar Mix (based on a recipe from Tastes Better from Scratch) so you can bring a little RCC magic to your next game night. Easy, savory, and impossible to stop eating, this mix is officially a new mahj table favorite.

Combine Dry Ingredients
Place the cereal, cheese crackers, pretzels and nuts into a large bowl.

Prepare Seasoning
Mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne. Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the cereal, while tossing gently, to coat.

Bake
Preheat the oven 250°F. Transfer the Chex Mix onto two baking sheets, spreading it into an even layer. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze in a freezer safe bag or container for up to 3 months.
